Partner Spotlight: Lohmann Breeders

Advancing education, strengthening livelihoods, and supporting sustainable egg production through knowledge-sharing

At the International Egg Foundation (IEF), sustainable change is built through partnerships, and Lohmann Breeders has been a highly valued long-standing partner in advancing this mission through their exceptional commitment to technical excellence, practical training, and knowledge-sharing.

As a valued member of the IEF Partnership Programme and a key partner in the development and delivery of the Global Egg School programme since its inception in 2019, Lohmann Breeders has helped translate global industry expertise into practical, locally relevant guidance for farmers, agricultural students and communities across nutritionally vulnerable regions.

Rooted in Lohmann Breeders’ own culture of continuous learning and professional development, the Global Egg School reflects a shared commitment to empowering individuals through high-quality education that strengthens livelihoods, improves nutrition, and supports sustainable local egg production.

From Africa to Asia, Lohmann’s expert teams have consistently delivered engaging, practical, and regionally relevant training, upskilling participants with the knowledge, confidence, and technical expertise to strengthen their communities through sustainable egg production.

Recognising the people behind the partnership

This commitment is made possible not only through organisational support, but through the outstanding dedication of Lohmann’s expert teams.

The IEF extends particular thanks to Farhad Mozafar, Mohammed Chairi, Dr Amr Saad, Viola Holik, Eduardo Bernardi, and Dr Vichian Srithayarat, whose expertise, passion, and commitment to practical education have played an essential role in the continued success of Global Egg Schools.

Their ability to deliver constructive, inspiring, and locally relevant education exemplifies the quality, care, and leadership that underpins this valued partnership.

“Education creates opportunity, and through our partnership with Lohmann Breeders, we are equipping egg farmers to build profitable & sustainable livelihoods, improve nutrition, and build resilience.”
— Cassy Price, CEO, International Egg Foundation

A culture of education

Lohmann Breeders’ commitment to developing expertise extends far beyond programme delivery. Through its internationally respected annual training school in Cuxhaven, Germany, Lohmann continues to demonstrate that education is not simply a programme offering—it is an integral part of its organisational culture.

In recognition of this shared commitment, the IEF is proud to introduce a new initiative within the Global Egg School programme:

Each year, an outstanding Global Egg School graduate will be sponsored to attend the prestigious Lohmann School in Cuxhaven.

This opportunity creates a powerful bridge between education and advanced technical training, supporting leadership development, professional growth, and the long-term sustainability of local egg production systems.

With sincere gratitude

The IEF extends heartfelt thanks to Lohmann Breeders for its enduring partnership, shared vision, and continued investment in strengthening communities through education.

Together, we are expanding not only access to nutrition, but also the expertise, opportunity, and resilience needed to create lasting impact worldwide.
