Bruce Dooyema
Chairman & Trustee
Bruce Dooyema has been passionate about egg farming since youth, growing a summer project into Center Fresh Egg, part of The Versova Family of Farms, now operating across several U.S. states. With experience in both developed and emerging markets, he brings a unique perspective on egg production and food security.
A husband and father of three, Bruce values the role of affordable, high-quality eggs for families. He champions sustainability through crop rotation, water recycling, and soil conservation on his farms, and supports communities worldwide through the Versova Foundation and IEF, sharing poultry expertise in countries like Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, South Africa, and Honduras.
Bruce’s work strengthens food security through education and egg distribution in protein-deficient regions. He serves on key industry boards, including the World Poultry Foundation, American Egg Board, United Egg Producers, and has chaired the Iowa Egg Council for over a decade. In 2024, he received the Wergin Good Farm Neighbour Award and was inducted into the North Central Poultry Association Hall of Fame.
As IEF Chairman, Bruce is dedicated to expanding global access to eggs as a sustainable and nutritious food source.
